It comes after Daisy apologised to fans for calling herself a ‘midget’ in a now-deleted weight loss post shared to Instagram earlier this month.

The actress initially took to the social media platform to display the results of her keto diet after welcoming her second child with husband Will Wetson in September last year.

However, the This Country star was met with backlash as she made the offensive comparison to describe her appearance, before admitting: ‘I should know better.’

Award-winning writer Daisy originally uploaded the before and after photos of herself standing by her bathroom mirror as she detailed her new health journey.

The TV star wrote in an accompanying caption: ‘Anyone else doing keto? My mate Sarah and my da suggested I give it a try and I’m shocked at how quickly weight is dropping off.

Restricted growth, sometimes known as dwarfism, is a condition characterised by short stature.

WHAT IS DWARFISM?

Restricted growth, sometimes known as dwarfism, is a condition characterised by short stature.

There are two main types of restricted growth:

  • Proportionate short stature (PSS) – a general lack of growth, where the length of the trunk and limbs are in proportion
  • Disproportionate short stature (DSS) – where the limbs are shorter or out of proportion with other parts of the body

As well as having short stature, some people with restricted growth also have other physical problems, such as bowed legs or an unusually curved spine.

However, most people don’t have any other serious problems. They can often live a relatively normal life and have a normal life expectancy.
