Is second breakfast the secret to losing weight?

As per a study carried out by researchers at Yale and the University of Connecticut in the USA, eating something small in the morning to jump-start metabolism followed by a larger meal an hour or two later can keep a person fuller until the next meal and prevent munching on unhealthy foods throughout the day.

For the study published in the journal Pediatric Obesity, the team of researchers tracked the eating pattern and weight of 600 students from 12 schools for about two years. They noted six different eating patterns: Breakfast skippers, inconsistent school eaters, inconsistent home eaters, frequent school eaters, frequent home eaters, and double-breakfast eaters.
