A gaffe during today’s BBC Breakfast saw Sally Nugent joking that Little Mix had found a fourth member.
Mum-to-be Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall called into the studio from their homes today as they chatted about operating as a three, Leigh-Anne’s baby joy with Andre Gray and their new single, Confetti.
The girls became a trio late last year when Jesy Nelson announced she was stepping back from the band.
They were chatting away to Sally and Ben Thompson when all of a sudden Jade was replaced on her screen by mathematician Bobby Seagull.
“I don’t know if any of you noticed, but for a short time there Little Mix did have a new member,” Sally laughed.
“Did you notice that? Mr Bobby Seagull popped up at one point in the middle of Little Mix.”
And Bobby’s up for it, joking: “Bring in someone who loves numbers as well… Little Mix, I’m here!”
Elsewhere in the interview, Leigh-Anne shared her joy at becoming a mum.
The star and footballer fiance Andre made the happy announcement yesterday, Leigh-Anne telling Sally and Ben today: “I’m having a baby!
“It still feels so weird actually saying it because I’ve been hiding it for so long, so I’m relieved that it’s finally out there and I can relax and embrace my bump!”
She also explained that she had “wanted to be the one to share my beautiful news” rather than have it leaked.
“We’ve dreamed about this moment for so long and we can’t believe the dream is finally coming true…” Leigh-Anne captioned snaps of her baring her bump with Andre.
“We can’t wait to meet you.”
