Your first-time tracking macros won’t be perfect. You’ll probably over-eat your carb macros and likely struggle to hit your protein goal.⁠⁠

But just like riding a bike, you can’t get the hang of it without trying.⁠⁠

Even now, years and years into my macro tracking journey, I still have days where I struggle to hit my protein goal or forget to track and realize later, I’ve eaten more carbs than I ‘should’ have.⁠⁠

It’s okay because I’m human, not perfect.⁠⁠

My best advice: just get started already. ⁠⁠

You won’t be perfect. You’ll have to set aside your pride a little bit and let your ego take a backseat. But just try.⁠ Just start. ⁠⁠

Progress is better than perfection with everything. Including macros.⁠⁠
