Weight loss story: “I had chapatis 3 times a day and still lost 16 kilos”


My breakfast: 1 chapati with a bowl of seasonal vegetable curry/ poha/ upma/ idli.

Mid-day snack: A cup of tea had around 11:30 a.m.

My lunch: 2 chapatis with any vegetable subji.

Evening snacks: Fruits or turmeric milk

My dinner: 2 chapatis with daal.

Pre-workout drink: Two tall glasses of warm water

Post-workout drink: A cup of milk tea with some dry fruits (soaked overnight)

What I indulge in? I have never cheated on my diet. If there’s a celebration or a festival, I only resort to having small bites of sweets or snacks. During parties, I avoid having pizzas or fried food as much as possible and go for a simple dal-rice or chapati-vegetable combination. You wouldn’t believe it, but sweets are a big no-no for me now.

Low-calorie recipes I swear by: Personally, I don’t really believe in the process of calorie-counting my meals. But suji idli is one of my favourite low-calorie meals.
