I followed a customized diet plan for the first month of my weight loss journey and later, came up with my own diet, that had all good foods low on carbs, good protein etc:
My breakfast: I would start my day with one fruit+ a cup of black coffee, or an occasional toast with butter once in a while.
My lunch: I have 2 chapatis with vegetable curry, dal, salad and buttermilk. A while after, if I am hungry, I snack on peanuts and channa. I also sometimes have a sweet treat post lunch.
My dinner: A big serving of salad+ a helping of whatever is made at home, usually something like a mix paratha, pav bhaji, khichdi, paneer burji. A piece of chocolate or low-calorie ice-cream to satisfy my cravings.
Pre-workout meal: Protein bar/peanuts and toast/ragi chips/moong + channa dal salad
Post-workout meal: I don’t take supplements, it’s usually dinner – on some days I will have a protein bar post my work out if I‘m famished
I indulge in (What you eat on your cheat days): Pizza and chips! But I try to balance all meals – I don’t have a specific cheat day, I eat everything in moderation
Low-calorie recipes I swear by: Zucchini spaghetti, cauliflower rice/mash/as a substitute for potato, sweet potato fries (air-fried) and low-cal ice creams
